Data Requests:

Please complete the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office Data Request Form to request incident reports, calls for service, transcripts, accident reports. Once the form has been filled out, it can either be:

Data Request Form

The Wadena County Sheriff's Office maintains records for our agency only. Menahga, Sebeka, Verndale and Wadena Police Departments maintain their own records and reports.

How our office responds to your completed data request

When the office receives your completed data request form, it works to process that request.

If we don’t have the data or it is not public, we will notify you as soon as possible. We will tell you why any data is not public. State law does not require us to create or collect new data in response to a data request.

When the office has the data and it is public:

• If you want to look at the data, employees will arrange a date, time and place for you to do so, at no cost.

• If you want a paper copy, employees will provide it as soon as possible. You can pick it up or have it sent to you. The costs of printed copies are listed on the Data Request Form.

• The costs for video/audio/photo CD’s/DVD’s are listed on the Data Request Form.

• If you do not understand some of the data like technical terms, abbreviations or acronyms, we will explain the data to you.

• You may request data in a specific format. But we are not required to provide the data in that format if it does not already exist in that way.

• The office is not required to answer questions that are not included in the data request.
