Transfer Station

No Scavenging Allowed!

This facility was newly constructed and fully operational in October 1999, and is operated by the county. The purpose of the transfer station was to provide local haulers with a site within the county in which to dispose of waste.  The waste is then hauled by semi-trailer loads to the Perham Resource Recovery Facility or to a Waste Management owned sanitary landfill where it is properly disposed.

Location
The Transfer Station is located 2.5 miles north of Wadena on 11th Street North and .5 miles east on 170th Street.

Yard Waste
Grass clippings, leaves and brush up to 4" in diameter are accepted at the transfer station during business hours.   We can not take stumps or large trees.
